Update and news!

I just got back home from the hospital. Mom was sleeping sound when I got there, sitting up in a chair (strapped in so she didn't fall over). When she woke up she was super groggy, and a little disoriented, I believe it mostly is due to being in ICU, being woken up every hour on the hour and the morphine they put in her IV for pain. She did eat a little, then went back to sleep. There were a couple of illucid moments of things she swears happened, but once again, thank you morphine! Aunt Judy told me that she had real mental "images" when they had her on it too. So, I am going to see if there is maybe something else that they can give her for pain if she needs it anymore ... will more than likely go back to the hospital later tonight to see her again. Hope that when the doc finishes with his surgeries, and does his rounds, that he will have her go to a regular room and we can hope for discharge sometime tomorrow, but it definitely will not be today. More later when I get more news. Thanks for reading, and mom appreciates it too!!!

Still in class, just received a call from DeLayne. She and Meghan went to see mom and she is now tied down, I guess she went a little bit nutso in the night, kept trying to leave, was seeing things, etc. I will be going to the hospital within the next hour. Will post more later.

Day #1

In the learning process of this blog!!! Mom is in ICU and I am not totally here mentally, but when this class is done, I will be going back to the hospital. I will keep you posted.
